Regardless of the roof pitch, water collector boxes are used for the drainage of pitched and flat roofs and are essential components of a functioning roof drainage system.
Water collector boxes are indispensable components of a roof drainage system. Zambelli offers a well-designed range of hoppers that combine top quality and functionality. They are available in various shapes, sizes, materials, and colors to suit different roof configurations.
Whether classic or modern, flat roof or pitched roof, for wall or gutter mounting: nearly every customer requirement can be met.
The square water collector box stands out in its function as an elegant connection for flat roof drainage, with its modern design featuring a circumferential rim. It is suitable for both gutter and wall mounting on flat and pitched roofs and is available in both concentric and eccentric connection designs. The optimized 3D base plate ensures even easier installation in the eccentric version, as the base bend is eliminated.
The cubic design of the hopper with eccentric connection stands out with its minimalist appearance. Without a rim, the small water collector box boasts a modern look and is ideally suited for direct wall mounting in flat roof constructions. The color variations of the cubic hopper are made directly from coated materials. Alternatively, the cubic hopper is also available with a rim.
The Zambelli hopper is particularly popular in classical architecture due to its design. It is suitable for both gutter and wall mounting on flat and pitched roofs. For even greater installation flexibility, the long hopper is available in both concentric and eccentric connection designs.
The terrace drain connects the gutter to the downpipe and features an overflow. If rainwater accumulates, the overflow reliably diverts the water. It is suitable for any roof shape and can be mounted either against the wall or on the gutter.
The fascia outlet, with its sleek design, is a modern alternative to the traditional hopper and is equally popular with installers and builders. It is easily installed on the wall using the form-fit principle and connected to the downpipe with just a few steps. A hole cutout and separate wall fastening are not required due to its fixed position in the system. The position of the seal is determined by the bead.
The Zambelli wall branch outlet creates a seamless, tight connection between the facade, flat roof, and downpipe. Thanks to the integrated perforated grid, it also prevents the entry of leaves, dirt, snow, and ice. It is a smaller alternative to the fascia outlet. Its seal is located inside and is positioned by the stop at the end of the pipe.
Regardless of the roof pitch, water collector boxes are used for the drainage of pitched and flat roofs and are essential components of a functioning roof drainage system.
In the field of pitched roof drainage, hoppers provide a consistent alternative to conventional gutter boxes:
Hoppers play a crucial role in flat roof drainage:
Zambelli hoppers are available in various colors, shapes, and designs to seamlessly integrate into the roof configuration. In addition to their appearance, they impress with their high functionality, versatile applications, and meticulously crafted sophistication.
Zambelli has optimized the base plate of the square hopper. The base plate and casing are stamped, eliminating the seam and creating an elegant form-fit between the two elements. The hopper appears slimmer overall and is free from any disruptive edges. Since the casing and base plate are seamlessly connected around the entire perimeter, the lower corners of the water collector box are 100% rainwater-tight.
The previously one-piece rim of the hopper has also been redesigned and replaced with a three-part rim. The front rim covers the two side rims. These "closed edges" create an aesthetically pleasing overall appearance. Even when the square water collector box is installed in combination with the gutter, the rim of the water collector box and the rim of the gutter form an architecturally unified look. The construction of the rim also protects the sheet edges and enhances the stability of the casing. Additionally, dirt and deposits no longer accumulate in the corners, which increases the longevity of the system.
Hoppers are available in various shapes and versions. However, the connection design is always crucial during installation. Zambelli hoppers are available with both concentric and eccentric connection designs. Depending on the connection design, there are differences in installation:
Zambelli hoppers are available not only in different materials but also in a variety of colors. They are powder-coated to match the Zambelli standard colors or made directly from coated coil material.
Depending on whether the hopper is to be mounted on a pitched or flat roof, on the wall or the gutter, different installation requirements and steps apply.
In our installation guide, you will find the appropriate instructions for the various mounting options.
Wall mounting fascia outlet or hopper: For parapet drainage, the fascia outlet (inlet pipe) should be additionally sealed to prevent backflow. We recommend using our Zambelli rubber seal for pipe inlet.
Gutter mounting hopper: The installation on the gutter is suitable for all gutter sizes up to 400 mm.
