Brothers Franz and Carlo Zambelli Sopalù found a company named “Gebrüder Zambelli Kirchenstandsetzung GmbH” located in Haus im Wald, Grafenau district, Bavaria, Germany . The company quickly gains a reputation in roof and façade systems for successful implementation of unconventional projects: renovation of the tower of the local Sacred Heart Church (German: Herz-Jesu-Kirche) is the cornerstone for the company’s long-time history. A high level of expertise and the years of profound experience in sheet metal fabrication and roofing industry enable us to carry out both national and international projects.
Franz Zambelli Sopalù “celebrated” the completion of the project by performing quite a risky handstand right on the new cross on top of the church tower. It has been reflected in the logo and slogan of the Zambelli Group of Companies.
The innovative metal roof system, which was developed by Otto Zambelli Sopalù, was launched onto the European market. The division of metal roof systems is separated from Zambelli Fertigungs GmbH & Co. KG, Haus im Wald, and thus Zambelli RIB-ROOF GmbH & Co. KG, Aiterhofen is established.
In order to keep pace with the positive development, Zambelli RIB-ROOF GmbH & Co. KG relocates from Aiterhofen to Stephansposching. The proximity to the central highway interchange in Deggendorf provides perfect transport connections in all directions of the DACH region and offers sufficient space for further expansion.
The next logical "evolutionary" step unites aesthetic standards and fast installation technology: its slender, rounded profile seam makes the RIB-ROOF Evolution system particularly interesting for customers from a stylistic perspective. RIB-ROOF Evolution thus incorporates the design that not only has a convincing appearance but is functional as well. In 2016, Zambelli RIB-ROOF obtained a National Technical Approval (abZ) for this product.
Zambelli RIB-ROOF GmbH now focuses on the manufacture of metal roof systems and expansion of the range of accessories. All installation activities of its business division have therefore been suspended. The resources that have become available provide room for further growth in many areas of production, product development and sales.
Zambelli has expanded its product range by launching the Zambelli Siding system – a versatile panel system for metal façades. Our siding system is available in various construction widths and materials, which offers bespoke solutions and fulfils individual requirements of our customers in terms of façade designs. The Zambelli Siding system complements the existing product range of our Building Envelope business division.
