Thanks to the courage to tackle various projects and implement them with determination and enthusiasm – always pursuing an ambitious goal – the company founder Franz Zambelli managed to create numerous innovations and never stopped making them even better. His philosophy has been deeply rooted in all our actions, business activities and motivations ever since.

In 1957, Franz Zambelli established Kircheninstandsetzungs GmbH in Haus i. Wald, in the Grafenau district, in Bavaria, Germany, which laid a foundation for the today’s group of companies. At that time, the main activity of the company was restoration of church roofs, installation of standing seam roofs, which also involved complex soldering works.

Franz Zambelli also showed courage having decided to adopt his brother’s idea of roll forming in his own company, which was a common practice in Australia, and at the time was considered to be a highly innovative and complex technology on the German market.
This is how the RIB-ROOF was invented: Franz Zambelli designed a metal roof system, which eliminated the need for flanging and enabled an easier and faster installation procedure by means of special clips. From that time on, it made the whole roofing process – from production planning and preparation to the actual installation - more time-saving. These two factors make our metal roof systems an attractive solution and influence the decision to opt for the Zambelli products!
